Dr Ayodele Arowojolu is a Senior lecturer / Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria with several years of experience in teaching, planning and organization of health services at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. He has been involved in the organization of training, health research and clinical practice. Trained in Nigeria, UK and the USA, he has an extensive knowledge and experience, which he brings to bear on his work. He has worked as resource person to many governmental and non-governmental organizations in areas of reproductive health management, research and training. He has also taught at several seminars and workshops for health professionals and tripartite partners on varied health related issues including Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV/AIDS. He was involved with capacity building in private and public health sectors, a project conducted in collaboration with VISION and sponsored by USAID. He was also involved the phase 2 trial of Tenofovir Disoproxyl Fumarate (TDF) in the prevention of HIV acquisition by HIV seronegative women. He is currently working on effect of heavy metals on infertility in Nigerians, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. He has helped with the establishment of endoscopic surgery at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
