complimentary foods for infant Feeding.

adult and elderly (antropometry),body
composition, clinical and biochemical and dietary.
3. Impact of maternal education, nutritional knowledge and economic status on
child welfare in Nigeria.
4. Effect of micronutrient supplementation on breast-milk composition.
5. Physical activity pattern and energy expenditure of selected
occupations.
6. Determinants of pregnancy outcomes and birthweight of neonates.
7. Contributory factorysto success of nutrition-relevant programmes and

CLINICAL ACTIVITIES
The department runs a rural nutrition Clinic at Osegere village (located 20
kilometers from the
University). Dietary advice is also rendered to Clinical patients in Teaching
Hospital
requiring diet therapy (diabetes mellitus, renal and liver deseases, the
hypertensives e.t.c).
